 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart
Big city time.
No time to think.
You don’t own your mind.
It’s on loan to the city.
We need more hours in the day.

Days are to short.
Can’t stop. We're on the clock.
What are you doing, thinking,
Don’t! You're wasting time.
In the city its hurry up.
Hurry up, run run, run.

You’re on the treadmill
Can’t complain. Your choice,just do.
Keep on surviving.
Buddy can you spare a dime.
Take no notice it’s only a bum.

No pity given.
Takes time to care.
This is reality.

Big City hustle.
Times awaiting.
We've lost sight of all that matters.
