Poetic Verses

Tears

From your sharp non-sentiment
in working circles with harsh intent
I focused on your tearless eyes
and only summoned up despise

As saddened by your story told,
yet hidden by your outer bold
I never would expect your plight
from your gravel and outer fight

And truly sorry as I can be
forgetting the troubles you've given me
I wonder of the frightening way
your story haunts me to this day

In thoughts of that work-day woe,
you let me slide and watched me go
You tended tears to offspring best
and not revealing to the rest

You watched along with elite crowd
my slow steps taken with my head bowed
in walk of shame the tears produce
to tighten knots on metaphorical noose

But wonder as 'ere go I
if your innocent should ever cry
that now my sympathy reach to you
my tears should melt yours - and my heart too
