With Profound Thanks
You gave your all to her we love
Reception grand and in place of
You welcomed us with no ill feelings
This moment ours three hearts now reeling
I played small role but gave my best
To tell her I love no less
That I'll be here if she so needs
More than before, her of my seed
She gave and smiled and made too proud
One she called dad as you allowed
My presence there was my blessing
Is why this write is my confessing
To you who raised a princess too
Step father, mom, my gratitude
Can not be measured but spells out great
With profound thanks my heart now states
If not for you who gave your time
To raise what once but still is mine
Where would she be if not for two
Sandy and Carl who love her much as I do too
I danced with her in wedding gown
As right of passage as time allowed
This too you gave a lesser man
At the reception in ballroom grand
We watched from chair and rose to see
What makes her whole called family
Two dads, one mom at this affair
Daughter three love three parents share
Again with thanks I give to you
Whats left of us that marriage drew
To her affair where three would dance
With the same princess when came our chance
In closing please let me say
Once more again my thanks this day
To parents two who opened door
To be a part of her once more
