BANANA

Let's have a laugh!

Trying to think of something profound
to write about while I eat my banana.

Then I thought 'a banana
is it not profound?
Perhaps not, but it is sustaining me
at this moment in time.

I am simply a lazy git
who can’t be bothered to cook.
Simpler to peel the banana.
Going to cook one of these days.
One would have thought living alone
for sixteen years I could cook up a meal.

All it is, and this is where
I get totally profound.
I cannot be bothered.
I’m one of the fortunate people
who enjoys good health.
good health is a question of luck.
It is my wealth.
I appreciate it every day.
That's all about the profundity of, Banana
