TIN HAT DAYS

told this by a girl who lived on the streets of london as a child called them her tin hat days

Its another one of those black, black days
Either day or night nothings going right

Just a tin hat day keep my head down,
And endure, try and forget the
Guys who ripped me off took me on promised all

Keep my tin hat well in place
It wards of all the blows
Physical, and mental

Don't own anything its all in hock
To someone else, even my mind
Is not my own, gotta keep my tin hat on.

I'll just wander around hoping my
Emotions won't get ripped apart
Each empty day looking for love

None to be found simply putting my
Heart in hock for another day
Gazing at the ground after being used

Lucky I have my tin hat don't think
I would be alive without it hate these
Days of constant use,no where to live
Find a quiet doorway, and get some rest
