AVARICE

AVARICE

Empty hangers bring back the memories of love once cherished
Before it became lost in forests of fully draped hangars.
Money inevitably dominated
Life became worthless
Only draped coat hangers prevailed

Thoughts of plenty, stroking love once cherished.
Large home, large car, small life.
Hangers fully draped denote our slide into love lost.
Open wardrobe door glimpse of empty hangers.

A crescendo of silence rushes into life's imagined plentitude.
Realizing life should have been full of love,
Never draped on hangers covered with avarice
Falling for fools gold glittering beckoning,
Leaving only an empty life where love has
Been lost to a forest of empty hangers
