Take Caution

These day I usually walked the road in a great fear
Because as I traveled as I should along the highway
What I notice to my despair as they passed so near
Are that many of those drives speed along with a cell-phone to the ear.

Smiling and laughing as they engage in the conversation
Looking around sometimes not even paying any attention
And at that speed driving with one hand, if the vehicle swerve
This can make the heart race and sometimes touch a nerve.

Once I saw a guy in traffic jam going along  as he text
In this sort of situation  not focus so his attention  lax
Being that he was so engrossed he did not maneuver  in time
So he of course rammed this woman's brand new car from behind.

This lady some time ago in her conversation was so engrossed
That she did realized that  her  bearing of the highways she had lost
Only in for about five minutes she had let the cell phone rest
She and her vehicle would not be in such  a terrible mess.

It is important the on the streets and highway we all should act responsible
And use both the highway and cell phone sensible
Remember that moment you attention is diverted to dial any number
That may be that last time you may use  the part or member.

A word of caution to joggers and all those pedestrian
Using the roads and highway with the ear plugged listening to that Walkman
Thus making you so oblivious to what is happening around you
If you do not be careful will be be counted in the statistics too.
