Peaceful Noise
In the fullness of the blustering voices shouting obscenities to the sky;
Within the blaring radio playing, my memories then dragging them to my awareness.
My ears are assaulted with the roar of everyday life as it tries to pull me along;
But today within the clamor, within the sound, I find a gentle soothing peaceful noise.
I have found this beautiful field deep in my inner awareness, where the noise is muffled;
It is actually changed into a melodic tune that tickles my inner body and gives me joy.
This has been a godsend to me as the artificial silence that I once sought always fails;
This cannot be maintained in this world of sounds, but I now have found a peaceful noise.
Words and music, as well as machinery's hum, combine into a symphony of pleasure.
I once sought the solitude of silence, but if it can be found, it can't be held;
As the world bangs at my door with its cornucopia of sounds to tantalize my ears.
I wish to reach out to this world of sound with love from within the peaceful noise.
Life is not quiet, nor will it ever be still; the noises brings the world to my doorstep;
I reach out in love from this inner stillness into the clamor undisturbed.
I have now found that silence that cannot be heard without the defining sounds;
As now the world brings me its basket full of life; I enjoy now the peaceful noise.
