Through the years I've witnessed
dried tears from fallen peers
but in the afterlife, rebirth
will happen when the shine of the light
surrounds the wicked and smothers
their sickness;
Through the years I've witnessed
dried tears from mothers
who had no choice, except
to bury their oldest sons,
cause the gun was the tool of their trade
enslaved to the rage encompassed
throughout their frame
flesh and bones immersed in flames
from the anger behind their eyes,
never got the opportunity to see
their little girls enjoy their time together;
Through the years I've witnessed
dried tears from fallen peers
like rain drops quickly rolling off my
window pane;
so regardless of the path,
I will continue to ride
til the end of the road!
