San Francisco a great place to visit
Winding the crooked road Lombard street
Mom lived on the west side coming up
I stopped and bowed my head to heaven
Mom and the littlest Angel were there
Sitting on my shoulder Golden Gate bridge
The greatest of friends and family
But it is always good to be home
Two great acts I have seen Danny Gans
In San Francisco Beach Blanket Babylon
Ghirardelli dark chocolate and a Crab louie
The Bird man of Alcatraz and Al Capone
The housing complex turned to vacant stone
Nothing compared to a chocolate ice cream cone
And I have to say its always nice to be home
It the war of words between poets now over?
Ignore the nasty dude from Quebec
As he sits and watches TV as a Zombie
He knows in his head the poet he cannot be
Always great to be home hear the groans?
