In fifth grade you were my role model and I looked up to you,
And still to this day I do.
You took me in when daddy passed away,
You’ve been raising me ever since that day.
It’s been five years so far,
I thank you for everything you do and who you are.
Yeah, we have our arguments and our fights,
But they are normally resolved by the end of the night.
Please don’t ever leave my sight,
Please let me know if I’m doing things right.
At my wedding I want you in the front row,
You’re the one who watched me grow.
Even though you’re not my birth mother,
No one can compare to you MOM, there is no other!
