Dilated eye 1/24/03Falsifying daily information, attempting to veil an entire nation, blinding the vision of the wise, absorbing the will and strength of the strong with the flesh dressed in a see through thong, youngsters watching t.v thinking what they see is the only way to be, but that's not reality; the truth is we help ourselves become the number one casualty caught in the trap of so called abolished slavery, stuck in your own misery, constantly repeating history; his story is always a mixture of blood and glory, soaked into the soil of this earth, penetrating to the depths of the core, fueling the world with our forefather's life fluid; wives raped, daughters disgraced, but calling me daddy in his place, which burns my soul; dealing with situations that are out of my hand's control, so we take life day by day and patiently watch as the plot unfolds; its taking a toll raising my seeds on land that was stolen from the american Indians; they call me wounded knee cause when I sleep I see pictures of people hung that resemble me; watching my people's pride demised right before my dilated eyes; Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
