A Pick Me Up
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Who is honored and adored;
He has heard all that I share,
As spoken within my prayer.
That is why I now rejoice,
Because He has heard my voice;
Of the supplications said,
About problems that I dread.
The Lord is my strength and shield,
Helping the wounds be healed;
He is hope to persevere,
Because His Word is sincere.
Victory is in my heart,
Each of His words I impart;
And since I know He is just,
I also know that I can trust.
I give thanks in praise and song,
While I work all day long;
A fortress and foundation,
As built for my salvation.
God remains as my shepherd,
For I will follow His Word;
Knowing when I go to sleep,
He will watch over His sheep.
