The first and the Last

Consider not that which was done in your past
God gives unto the first even onto the last
There are those who were chosen in the early morning hours
Which accepted the call and were endowed with the power
He agreed with those laborers the wage  for the day
Gave them there assignments and sent them on their way
He went out about the third hour again that same day
And saw some others standing idle in the market place
They too were chosen, assigned, and sent on their way
With the agreement that whatever was right would be their pay
He did so likewise the sixth and ninth hour, and also the eleventh
This is an account of the wage rate for workers of heaven
When the day is over and it is time to received the agreed wage
The first and the last  get the same amount of grace
You would think those who worked longer would get more
But God pays just the wage the agreement is for
It doesn't matter the hour in which you are called
The same heavenly wage applies to all
But work the works of he who hired you while it is day
For night cometh when no man can work or play
Whatever assignment he has placed you on
Stay the coarse, stay busy, and be strong
Stay committed, stay faithful, stay humble, walk in his way
And whatever is right He is faithful to pay
It doesn't matter when you first came to Christ
Just do the agreed work for the agreed price
Matt 20:1-16
