Just a lighthearted look
at how we can let some things go,
till the last minute
and then they gang up on us so......
One day just as airy as you please
i was reminded by the breeze,
it still lays in wait for me
to do what i dread most-the laundry.
And my name it did call
as i ran away down the hall,
but much to my surprise
it jumped up and followed me right before my eyes.
Couldn't be kind and stand in the corner
no it had the nerve to move around and stir,
so when it approaches that fateful day
just do your duty so you can sniff sniff hooray.
Some don't have the luxury of a washing machine
when it gets done remains to be seen,
one might be a redneck doing it by hand it is said
but time stands still and the clothes march on instead.
My chore will get done in time
until then i work on this rhyme,
maybe if i simply wiggle my nose
well if i'm bewitched enuff-who knows?!
