Diagnosed unknown to date
Some feel it was just only fate
Doctors crammed many a note
But baffled was all that they wrote
Some think his age was part of it
Others suppose he wasn't fit
Physique once young became too old
Diet his poor, his story told
Many watched and saw him frail
As years behind began to trail
Trail they did and overcame
A man whose needs were not the same
He lived on bread that fed his soul
Drank of the blood as does the fold
Of those who called JESUS to save
From sin, a life that lived enslaved
He sought refuge behind closed doors
Dreaming of days whose heart implored
To love again unlike no other
His one request, lonely would smother
He chased rainbows that led to where
Nothing of value was even there
Treasure not sought nor pot of Gold
Became a quest and days of old
Yet still he tried to find the day
To say he lived to die that way
Yet time would come as he too knew
From quest, from life his soul withdrew
Upon a gurney they rushed him in
Where lights quite bright shined upon him
Last words he'd hear someone would say
Clear! Shocked was heart, three times that day
The cause of death no one would know
Maybe his fight with GOD untold
Was just to have what he would not
Someone to love, a love begot
