La Salsera Gringa
Of origins nowhere near of
Of Tropic Sun and dances of
She steps to rhythms that pulse with flavor
Completing one in culture savored
El Guaguaco and too the Mambo
El Cha Cha these three and more
Will charge her soul who loves to dance
Bachata and Tango's romance
She's good she'll say as others too
Wished they had her moves so smooth
A country girl who would have thought
She'd reign supreme in classes taught
La Salsera Gringa, dear friend to me
From suburbs green a spirit free
Whose love for dance makes just one part
Of poetry in motion, a class apart
