SEE THE LIGHT

(Dedicated to every person who has ever despaired, but continued to overcome with whatever faith fills their heart…)

Sometimes we walk in darkness,
believing we will never see the light again…
…life's inequities, cruelties, indignities
all crushing our aspirations from every avenue…

Too much to bear...
…we falter
…we despair
…we weep

Sometimes we let ourselves forget,
that just as the night turns into day…
…life's troubles are only fleeting,
all things shall pass in their due time…

Too soon we lose sight…
…we are loved
…we can feel
…we are alive

Sometimes we choose to let our own light shine,
believing God will guide our way…
…life's trials take on purpose and meaning,
all sorrows endured teach us how to feel joy…

To triumph, we overcome
…we sing
…we praise
…we have faith

We see the Light...
