Sacrificial Love
Allow the words slip from my tongue,
And meditation of my heart;
Be the message you hear be flung,
Fill you with love right from the start.
For we are to love each other,
Just as Jesus Christ still loves you;
Believers love one another,
The same as the Father loves too.
We are still in the midst of strife,
And surrounded by deceivers;
But we have passed from death to life,
From love of other believers.
If you do not grow in the love,
Then you will be remaining dead;
And destination then thereof,
Be other than Heaven instead.
We understand what love is when,
We realize what Christ had given;
Confessing time and time again,
That forgiveness comes from Heaven.
Since the life that He sacrificed,
Was given for saving others;
Then we must also be just like Christ,
Give ours for sisters and brothers.
