Trapped amongst dark clouds
on sky-blue days
getting drenched by sun-showers
of acid rain
penetrating spinal-cords
with dull knives
breakout in hives
from betrayal of adulterated wives
pain and suffering resides
deep inside blood-shoot eyes;
stuck in contempt for sins
neglected to repent
from eternal flames
thought to be exempt;
but not excused just because
we all have issues
no resting in peace
for women battered and bruised;
refuse the unspoken truth,
hidden structures revealed
if you only open the good book
and look, but you're blocked by
treachery con cocked by crooked
flocks of corrupt cops;
repressed anger easily turns
to danger;
makes the humble flip into
a ruthless headbanger,
but I refuse to remain trapped;
