 When I Was Younger
When I was younger
And still had some hair
My life was so simple
No worries; no cares
I went to concerts
And parties galore
Sometimes I'd wake up
Alone on the floor
I'd waste all my money
I never did save
I was so selfish
Don't think that I gave
Then I got married
And boy my life changed
At first it was scary
But love made me brave
One short year later
My daughter was born
She was a cutie
My life she adorned
I was a father
And so very proud
Then two sons later
For playing around
Life is so precious
We all must slow down
Look at the beauty
The beauty around
It may be here
But gone the next day
Take life more slowly
Don't let it slip away
Now that I'm older
And left with few hairs
I am much wiser
And so much to share
If there's a lesson
I'm trying to tell
Savor each moment
And you will live well
