The Excellence of Steadfast Love

Such loving kindness is given,
His mercy reaches the Heaven;
As the Lord lifts us up on high,
With His faithfulness to the sky.

His righteousness that I may seek,
Higher than any mountain peak;
And judgment like the ocean deep,
Never change but forever keep.

The peace and comfort God does bring,
Having refuge under His wing;
Protecting us from any foe,
That is attempting to cause woe.

We are nourished of by the food,
Making us refreshed and renewed;
And with the sleep that we are blest,
By morning we have gained much rest.

Arrogant people that are rude,
Need having a new attitude;
Are constantly going astray,
Find myself being pushed away.

But that is perfectly alright,
Since I am not wanting to fight;
And not associate with their kind,
Because I have a righteous mind.
