Teddy Bear's Picnic
I heard my Momma's call
so down to breakfast I did go
with my forever friend,
little Teddy in tow
We sat at the table
and Teddy could not sit still
I was afraid my milk
he would accidently spill
I placed him on the floor
right next to my chair.
To my surprise when I looked down
I could not see him any where
I searced our bedroom, Teddy was gone!!!
then I noticed the closet door was ajar
I went inside to have a peek
knowing he could not have gone very far
Back behind all the toys and games
I found a secret opening never seen before
I peeked inside to find nothing but dark
but to find my Teddy I just had to explore
I took a deep breath
as I closed my eyes.
Bravely I stepped into the dark
and OH My was I surprised
I found a place of fantasy
where Teddy's dance and play
I was overjoyed when they circled
and asked me to please stay
We laughed and played
ate cookies and icecream
There were balloons for everyone
even one with my name
Teddy and I played
in this special place all day
but the time was getting late
Teddy and I could no longer stay
We hurried back thru the secret door
leaving this place of fun and frolic
Daddy asked what Teddy and I did today
With a giggle I said "we just a picnic"
