Poetic Verses
Who's to Blame
From all reports and just by observation that this recession
Has been like a cancer which has metastasize and spread to many an island
And like the disease the cure seems to be a non-existent for all governments
The experts tried all permutations and combination but are still in a predicament.
Some governments were elected on a wave of promises during an election
Professing to the electorate that they have the solution
But readily had to shift gear and try to shift direction
When reality kicked in and they stared in the face of the recession.
Even those it is clear there are still some sectors of any population
Who do not care about the state of the economy and the grave situation
But still want to continue in a delusion of grandeur
Even though this will be a passport for the country's disaster.
Yes there is a recession that is strangling almost every nation
But we as people have made a contribution to the situation
We have somehow acquire the taste for goods that are foreign made
So it will take a dip in or country's foreign reserves to make the trade
Then some of our government ministers in the spirit of electioneering
To garner support for their reelection go on a form of mass employing
This most certain would impact on the finances and the budget
Thus contributing to the buildup in the country's deficit.
Another contributor is that many of the countries as exporters
Were totally depending on one coutry as that primary importer
That sourcen now staggering under the onslaught of the recession
Has sort of put most of the dependencies in a state of utter confusion.
Many big corporation who thought their dealings were sound
Were given some body blows and they too dropped to the ground
Some governments has no choice but to give some largess
Perhaps to save jobs and for continuity in the national business
One do not have to look hard the picture is painted so well
Every where you go today there is land or some house to sell
And what is worse to add to this painful story
Almost every day there is some form of aggravated robbery.
There is nothing wrong in taking this recession and growing
Even though there are hardships there are still lots of learning
Use it as a lesson in budgeting, prioritizing, planning and controlling
Curb the want for material things, they at this time amount to nothing.
