 I Love This Town
Small Town, USA; sweet, gentle summer days.
Cruising down Main Street in the early evening;
Stopping and talking to friends and neighbors.
The pace is slower here than in the cities around;
Walking the streets with little fear from any thugs.
Waves from everyone, a hug, and a conversation.
It is refreshing to live in a wonderful small town;
I'm always willing to put up with the nosy ones.
Busybodies help keep us honest, you can't hide.
Dollar store, ice cream cones, kids playing loud;
Everywhere I look I see a friendly face with a smile.
Covington, VA; what else can I say, I love this town.
