Moment In the Caribbean
Come relax and take a trip and sail on a ship
Good visit the Caribbean on a fact finding trip
As the vessel sail and meander through the calm water
Relax in such peace and it is then that the mind will wander
It will be seen that almost all of them are blessed with a strong European History
Countries like, England, France, Spain and the Holland are the one mainly
Who main left their traces both culturally and constitutionally in the places
Whilst in other countries the Portuguese have left some traces.
For instance Barbados which has a growth of the Bearded Fig Tree
So it was coined “Los Barbados” from the Portuguese dictionary
Not intended to settle they let look some pig perhaps as a token
So that those following will have something to sustain them,
Today now populated with descendants of African slaves
I am sure their ancestors are now smiling happily in their graves
Now know that that there offspring and now the decision makers
Not only in the government but in the businesses of the descendants of their former slave masters
There is some degree of being considered sort of cosmopolitan
People are there from many of the world's nations
There are Indian and Chinese who make good contributions
In business and willing hold on to some aspects of their religion
Such a diversity also bring along a good blend of culture
Some are displayed and depict remnants of the colonial masters
Also there are many which will portray that of the original country
Such a show is a one of the most wonderful to see.
This will give you a craving for some live action
I am sure you will be captivated by the many attractions
Thinks like limbo, fire eating and listening to the local lingo
This will fill you with enjoyment that will overflow
To cap it off and really put you in sort of spell
Take a look or try out that various islands carnivals
There you will see scene of national and past event depicted so graphically
This will capture you attention and your camera will be in instant activity.
As the rhythm and the beat make rock to and fro
Then you will see some gyrating torsos moving in synchrony to the music of calypso
Some artist there music will blend with some Latin and French beat so sweet
This type of pulsating beat to this region is so unique
No you will never be out of fun not even when the sun goes down
You will be privy to have a taste of a wide variety of blended rum
Made in a specific inland in the region, this u can sip under the shade of the coconut trees
Or you can relax on the brown spread of the casuarina and get drowsy by the gentle sea breeze.
