Pleading for Unity
What does it mean to ascend upward,
While it has also been heard;
Before Christ had been Heaven bound,
He had gone down under the ground.
Jesus went down then up above,
All because of such a deep love;
That the Father has for each one,
As well as the love for the Son.
Until our faith does unite,
And all of us do see the light;
Then we will all become mature,
And able to enter the door.
For our knowledge of the Son,
So far has not even begun;
Far beyond what we understand,
For all of what God has been planned.
So we are still children of God,
To whom we still honor and laud;
And considered as the Father,
With the Son who is a Brother.
And as the Father sends a plea,
To be in unity that we;
Begin loving one another,
Like Christ loving like a brother.
