On Your Own
As always the time may be ripe for you to leave home
There is that compelling force driving you to be on your own
Perhaps for you there may be an opportunity in a distant land
On which time is just right for enhancing your professional plan.
But in the back of your mind there is some trepidation
Here you are now faced with an apparent challenging situation
Whilst as home you were reluctant to perform even a little chore
No matter how many time the others of you try to implore.
Just recognize that as an oversight and a big mistake
Take some time out and do something about it for yourself sake
You have now come to make an important life's decision
So time now to work on yourself and make that correction.
Now you realize that those things learnt at home and among your peers
Would be so insightful and provide that focus in so many ways.
And as you leave that sheltered nest for different demographic scenes
Those little teachings and perhaps scenarios will provide some means
Always try to understand there will be many a testing moment
But do not get downcast, dejected and despondent
Yes you may have an opinion and a right to a point of view
But that does not mean that the world only revolves around you.
Yes there will be times and quite rightly you may need some advice
That is the beauty of relationships, this gives you lots of choices
But no matter the source, content or quality of the information
It is always you who has to make at all times that ultimate decision.
Because a circumstance may make you think that you are weak
Do not build a wall around yourself and behind it beat a hasty retreat
Always remember that very powerful resource, the mind
There you will find a form of resilience that will fortify you at such a time.
