ASSUMPTIONS

When we expect
the worst from others,
their worst is
what we'll get…

For over time
assumptions are made
before our needs
can be met.

Let someone show
their colors are true
and that they
really care,

Before you rob
them of who they are
‘til they'll no
longer share.

For just because
another has caused
you pain or
hard regret,
speak no evil Pictures, Images and Photos
It does not mean
the next one in line
will make you
feel that yet…

Assumptions are
a dangerous thing;
they hurt and
may destroy

The peace between
two blossoming souls
who both want
naught but joy.

So next time you
are tempted to guess
how someone
might respond,

Hold fast your tongue
and wait for their words -
assumptions
never bond.
