School Youth
I sit in this desk
And watch the teacher talk
My mind is in a blank
On only you it's locked
I try to pay attention
And write down my notes
But I hear your voice in my ears
And to you my mind floats
I talk to my friends
And listen to their problems
But I only talk of you
I begin to ignore them
I go through each class
Hoping you'll message me
And when you finally do
You'd see a smile on my face surely
I get lost in your words
And wish you were near
But I'm in a class
Away from you my mind tries to steer
The minute the bell rings
I'm already calling you
The moments I hear your voice
All my worries have been soothed
You've become my world
And everything in it
There's no doubt in my mind
That we're the perfect fit
