 Peace in my Dream
In a dream last night, I saw a new world;
Untouched by greed, lust, or hatred.
A paradise of Biblical standards;
Gentleness blows within every breeze.
Unity and brotherhood are the drives;
That folks embrace with fullness of joy.
John Lennon's dreamers come from here
And there, from just about everywhere.
Mankind returns to his ancestral roots,
Gathering his needs from a plentiful land.
No longer do we possess things or people;
As freedom rings from the depths of our soul.
Can you relinquish your hold on your things;
Or on your mate; what about your children?
As community means more than the individual;
In this beautiful world of peace in my dream.
Or was it a nightmare?
