 Language of Enchantment

His death was not preventable
No matter what we've heard.
To think it merely happened
Contradicts God's Holy Word.

Jesus Christ was not a martyr
In the sense one would assume.
And He didn't commit suicide
As some tend to presume.

Although the Romans and the Jews
Played a part in His demise,
They were not the One who planned
The reason that He dies.

Charges against Him were unsound...
His innocence stood up.
But the Father's Will determined
That He drink from this cup.

We couldn't be forgiven for
The sins we have committed
Or tasted of salvation's joy
If He had been acquitted.

He'd done nothing to deserve
The nails pierced through His hands.
But according to Psalm 22
This was all part of God's plans.

Then Isaiah 53 predicts
The suffering Messiah...
Foretold centuries before the fact...
Is prophecy a liar?

All and everything that happened
To the Christ was preordained.
And prerecorded in God's Word...
Mere chance can't be sustained.

The last word in Redemption
Came from a Cross of shame.
When He cried, "It is finished,"
He'd accomplished why He came.

Yes, God the Father loved us
But mere love was not enough.
He had to sacrifice His Son.
Some acts of love are tough.

Yet The Cross was necessary
For precious blood was shed.
Our sins are not just covered...
They're washed away instead!

We are the guilty party...
Our sins brought on His shame.
We are the ones who killed Him!
We are the ones to blame!

So in all debates about the death
And who killed Jesus Christ...
I submit the sacred scriptures
Which point to sacrifice.

Prayerfully Presented,

A few months ago there was an accusation
on the message board as to who killed
Jesus Christ. I prayed then for God to give
me a poem in relation to the accusation. Why
God delayed the answer to that prayer until
now is known only to Him...but I know there's
a reason.
"..... I have finished the work which You gave
 Me to do" (Jesus speaking)
John 17:4

Please read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 and may your
spiritual eyes be opened to the TRUTH...God willed
Jesus' death for your sake and mine. There HAD to
be a sacrifice to pay for our sins...it was the
mind of God.
