Remember the Old
As little children we could not understand how people age
Seeing them deteriorate and get weaker in a stage
But those a bit older pretend not to or want to understand
That is life's process and progress and happen to every man
Remember that their movement would not be like you own
They were one like that but have slowed because time has flown
See that and make preparation both physically and mentally that someday
That those some pattern and also attribute you may display,
It hurts when I hear you people so disparagingly bold
Telling a person to go away , you not young but old
Never taking time to listen or engage in any form of conversation
Or try to draw from that bank of experience in that tower of information
Always find time to visit and take for some drive somewhere
Do not think that those deeds will be would have passed unaware
Remember that treatment you handed out to your elderly
Your children may mete out to you quite readily
There is a tendency among some people who have no remorse
Appearing to look after their elderly because of that revenue source
To all eyes pretend to be so loving and shower all that attention
Because they bring in that added income in the form of a pension
Yes I know some children because of work have no other solution
But to put them belatedly into elderly home or institution
Being as it may always find make a form of resolution
To find time to visit and engage in some topical conversation.
And to those institution do not think that they are useless
Some of them still have those talents at which they were blessed
Use that talent and even have some form of exhibition
That can have very impact on the life and the reputation of the institution
And children at them never get mad, or say they are stubborn
It is very devastating when one pride has been undone
Perhaps a few month prior, you were independent and your affairs could manage
Now being forced to be dependent can do some psychological damage.
Always see them as the most invaluable and very precious gems
And be very happy if you were happy to have the two of them
Look at them and see they joys that they history their lives bought
And to no hesitate to share that will you offspring it is such a wonderful thought.
