 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

balance Pictures, Images and Photos

My heart has walked this line
so many times it feels too familiar
and all too frightening
to navigate the
tightrope of love

especially without a net.

Before I stepped onto the wire
I told myself I wouldn't let go of
the safety harness
would not let you
draw me in
this way…

but you've made me trust in you.

Now I am looking across to the
other side, as you urge me into your arms
and I pray I don't fall
I lower my eyes and hope
it's real and true
and my soul
has found home…

I look up and you're halfway across the wire to me.

And I know I'm safe
falling into you.
