Even when I doubt or ask why
Protect my soul from lying lips
Deceitful tongue and sharp quips
They follow ways of the evil one
Your plan of justice will be done
What punishment are they due?
Lord, You are the final judge too
Piercing arrows used by a soldier
Fiery coals continue to smolder
Life is hard in this land that I sojourn
I am an alien passing through for sure
In a world of conflict that does not cease
