Solitude
Sitting alone in my quiet home;
No television or stereo blaring.
Peaceful feelings sweep over me;
Spending time with myself today.
Settling into a gentle awareness;
A meditative state of presence.
Watching my breath, my thoughts;
Opening my heart, sweet solitude.
From the depths of my soul I hear;
That small voice within guiding me.
A gentleman always, presenting;
Providing an opportunity for growth.
In the present moment, alive to reality;
Creating within me into something new.
