The Foundation of the Lord
We have a solid foundation,
That is giving us salvation;
And these words are also engraved,
To sin no more are we enslaved.
For it is the Lord we belong,
And have given up doing wrong;
So it can never be ignored,
Why we are worshipping the Lord.
Whosoever worships the Lord,
Proclaim He is loved and adored;
More than any silver or gold,
That others would hunger to hold.
More than things made of wood or clay,
Or a delicious dish they prey;
More than anything found at home,
Or anyplace else you may roam.
But some objects honored when used,
Reminders of God not refused;
The pages engraved with His Word,
Always repeated to be heard.
Those who stop associating this,
Will not see the eternal bliss;
For they will be setting apart,
With the lustful sin in their heart.
