Descending the spiral staircase
From my head to my body and soul,
Escaping the trap of my thoughts.
Sweet freedom flows within my
Mind, body, and breath today.
My yoga practice is so pure
When I have some time with myself.
Sitting with my ceramic Dalmatian
On my mat in the floor; lotus position.
Gently, without judgment, watching…
Slowing my thoughts, my breath;
A smile rises from my very core within.
My attention open to the moment
As I have some time with myself.
Two eggs frying in the iron skillet;
Bacon sizzling beside them.
My toast is about to pop up
And my orange juice is poured.
Mmm… moments like this so special,
Sitting down on my deck to eat.
I love having some time with myself.
I like the Fred that I meet and see,
It's not that bad being little ole me.
I look into my soul and find peace;
Gently I embrace myself with my love.
Relaxing on the sofa, all electronics
Are shut down; just my cat in my lap.
I am having a great time with myself.
