fishing in the dark~©

A silly rhyme i admit,
i wrote just for the halibut.
When you decide to ride the wild surf,
don't let predators invade your turf.
You've got to always be aware,
of the slime that you could snare.
1st impressions don't always show the scale,
of what some go to when on your trail.
Code Name....a fish called rhonda,
she fears not the piranha.
Oh my cod as catfish go,
her whiskers tickle so.
Her line has such pull,
so God have mercy on your sole.
If something fishy crosses your path,
don't wait around to meet it's wrath.
Don't flounder about and be bait,
throw it back before it's too late.
You've got to look beyond the surface,
to see what is the purpose.
Sometimes you get caught up in the net,
and tangle with a catch or 2 you wanna forget.
I'm just using rhonda here as one metaphor,
cause she uses tickling as a lure.
But once she gets her hooks in deep,
you'll be lured away to sleep!
If it smelt too good to be true,
then holy mackerel beware next time
when you trout somebody new......
