The locust and the Lord
This is the message the Lord gave to Joel son of Pethuel
Listen up you chosen of the Lord, this for you
Has anything like this ever happened in history
Gather your children and tell them the story
Pass it down from generation to generation
Tell of the locust that devoured the nation
The cutting locust came and ate themselves to death
The swarming locust followed to eat what was left
After that was the hopping locust, stripping locust too
Listen to what the prophecy is for you
You are Gods chosen people, you are called by His name
But your words and your deeds are not the same
You have not driven sin from your hearts as I commanded you
And you do all the your imagination allows you to do
You do not represent me in the ways that you should
You have not walked in the way you promised you would
I am slow to anger, but enough is enough
So I will send in locust to eat away all your stuff
Away with all your fruit, be it trees or be it vines
All of your blessing will disappear in time
No houses or cars. No credit and no cash
Everything I provide shall be turned to ash
This is what the Lord has to say
Return to me as in your former day
Return to the Lord, for your sins have brought you down
Bring your petitions and all gather around
Repent, repent and humble yourselves
And He will forgive you and restock your selves
He will judge your enemies don't worry about that
Just prepare yourselves for the day He comes back
The path of the Lord is right and true
And this is what He expects from you
