Missing my Nightlight
There is something scary
for somebody just like me,
I lost my only nightlight
and the dark won't let me be.
I see figures in the darkness
that give me an awful fright,
I tense up in my bed awake
when I should sleep at night.
I need a light to feel safe
from what could be there,
if there are ghosts or spirits
in the dark I must beware.
I feel uneasy without light
and strange noises I can hear,
I better try and get some sleep
even though I feel much fear.
