Never Meant For Me
You never gave me flowers
or gifts that show you care,
you did your own thing
and left me sitting there.
You never held my hand
or gave me a friendly hug,
you thought I was a pest
and treated me like a bug.
Never did you smile at me
and share moments of cheer,
you always seemed to look away
when I was coming near.
I wanted to get to know you
but we never got to talk,
you wouldn't go with me
when I wanted us to walk.
There was no relationship
not even as my friend,
I still wonder why we married
when the beginning was the end.
