A Love that Hurt
I was a nobody to you
when I thought I was your friend,
you acted like you cared
but you hated me without end.
You exploited me with laughter
and showed me to strangers,
lies were spoken frequently
and you filled my life with dangers.
You spread rumors about me
that would make me cry,
you agreed with your pals
when they wanted me to die.
You tried to break my heart
when I said I love you so,
you acted like an Angel
thinking that I wouldn't know.
You were my enemy all along
but infatuation blocked my view,
If only I were smarter
back when I was loving you.
