Mother, I Miss You

Your smile once lit up the room
and brought us all much cheer,
I miss your warm embrace
and the fun we had all year.

I didn't expect to lose you
even though life is short,
you were an Angel on earth
that gave everyone support.

Many times I stop and think
of all you did over the years,
I miss your kind shoulder
that caught so many tears.

Love has become a memory
that the heart cannot lose,
You had the ability to walk
in another person's shoes.

I miss you more each day
as I look up at clear skies,
on the highest cloud in heaven
whispers softly sweet goodbyes.
