Poetic Verses

Hidden From the World

Invisible in the daytime
unknown in my sleep,
seen as anonymous
my secrets I will keep.

Lost among the shadows
where others cannot see,
I know all about myself
and the person I can be.

Do not look beyond
for I have drawn the line,
as long as I stay quiet
I will be doing fine.

I close my inner window
and shut the open door,
seen as perfect writing
by those that came before.

Surprises come quickly
that cause me to beware,
through true anonymity
another person unaware.

Hidden among the world
where secrecy has its place,
perplexed in knowledge
by the eyes of the human race.
