Compared in Faith

When Christ was lifted on the cross
and treated like He didn't belong,
spit upon and hated by the people
when He had done nothing wrong.

I take notice of His experience
and compare it to my own,
even though no other can suffer
as much pain as He did alone.

I have felt like Christ at times
just as if I've been put up there,
in front of others to be laughed at
and hated by those that do not care.

there are mean people out there
that live to cause much strife,
by the acts of words and hate
they have tried to destroy my life.

Some spit at me, hate and mock
and even try to leave me out,
also called mean names and shunned
cars honk at me and drivers shout.

I have grown closer to my Savior
and I know that He loves me,
no matter what other people will do
it is Christ that has set me free.
