If Jesus Came Knocking
If Jesus came knocking at my door
would I let Him in for sure?
Could I face a righteous one
after all the things I've done?
If Jesus stood outside waiting
could I spread love instead of hating?
Would I need to change inside
and try to rid of my own self pride?
If Jesus came would I fear
and would I shed a lonely tear?
After all that I've been through
would He know if I were true?
Would He understand my shame
if I stood and placed the blame?
Would He care about my ways
and how I chose to live my days?
If Jesus came knocking at my door
would I feel guilt over something more?
What would I do if He came today
would I watch the words I say?
I question myself and wonder how
and what would I do if He came right now?
I make mistakes and yet I'm aware
that in my life He's already there.
would I let Him in for sure?
