Heaven as a Child
I don't want to be an adult
and find my one true love,
I want to be as the child
that's close to God above.
A child has eternal life
and with family I'll be there,
when it is my time to go
heaven's blessings I can share.
I will know it is my turn
when the clouds of heaven part,
like the humble little child
that is true right from the start.
For heaven is as the child
that is shy and sweet inside,
filled with tenderness and love
instead of showing hate and pride.
