The Luck of a Penny

I found a shiny penny
laying on the ground,
I happily picked it up
for good luck I had found.

Heads or tails matters
if a penny lay right there,
heads up you are lucky
if it's tails life is unfair.

The luck of a shiny penny
can do somebody good,
everything will happen
just the way it should.

In life we have a choice
whether it be good or bad,
a penny has its own worth
and the finder should be glad.

For heads up in your hand
the luck begins to show,
if you picked it up on tails
you may feel rather low.

If you see it tails side up
it's best to walk away,
for in the spenders hand
it could ruin a happy day.
