Pansies For You
I know you've been emotional
and your tears make me cry,
I walked out to the garden
and the pansies caught my eye.
The colors of their beauty
purple, pink, and yellow too,
Had me feeling bright as the sun
and my thoughts turned to you.
I thought I could give a gift
of flowers that would shine,
you know I grew these pansies
that in life all will be fine.
I know you have some trials
and struggles in your life,
I so badly want to take away
the pains and times of strife.
I picked a bouquet for you
with hopes of bringing cheer,
I want to see your happiness
throughout the coming year.
